This statement defines the goal of our dojo: to cultivate individuals through Ryuei Ryu. Karate becomes a way of life - a guide to how we live our life.

Our mission is:

• To share the art of Okinawan Karate with the local community.

• To cultivate disciplined, kind, and mindful individuals through the art of Karate.

• To make Ryuei Ryu, a traditional Okinawan Karate, accessible to anyone regardless of country, creed, gender, race, religion, or social standing.

• To create a safe and tranquil environment for students and their family at the dojo.

• To provide quality instruction steeped in tradition and history.

Karate is a passion for life

We feel that Karate is a life long passion for those that start when they are young to those that start later in life. Karate is a community. Our dojo and its members are your family and friends. We share the passion of Karate together.

Dojo is where you are

The principles of Karate apply throughout our life, inside and outside the dojo. We must live our life exemplarily in the dojo and outside the dojo. For example, the concept of “Rei (礼), respect” are practiced everyday, everywhere, and with everyone.

Karate is a Do (道), “The Way” (Tao/Dao, the Chinese philosophy). The concepts taught and learned at the dojo apply to how we express ourselves throughout our life.
